Do I need a referral from a health care professional?
No. Although some clients will be referred by a GP or other health professional, many self-refer.  Simply contact Jenny by phone or email to discuss your circumstances and requirements. If you are unsure whether or not you would benefit from therapy Jenny would be happy to discuss this with you. If she feels her services aren't the best option for you she will do her best to recommend alternatives.

Please note that some private health insurance companies do require a referral for psychology to come from a psychiatrist or GP. Please check with your provider.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies greatly from person to person and very much depends on the nature of the problem and what you want to get out of the sessions. The number of sessions likely to be required will be discussed following your assessment, however typically Jenny will meet with people for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 sessions.
What are your fees?
Jenny offers a simple and transparent fee structure. Assessment appointments and therapy sessions (50 mins) are all charged at £120. For a block of sessions paid for in advance a 10% reduction will be applied (minimum of 6 sessions). In CBT the number of sessions required can be estimated following your assessment appointment. Thus, if you decide to go ahead with therapy you will have a good idea about what to expect to invest, both in terms of fees payable, and your time and commitment.

When are appointments available?
She offers daytime appointments during the week. Unfortunately there is currently no evening availability. Appointments can be cancelled or re-scheduled by phone or email (visit contact page).
Where are the sessions held?
Appointments are held at consulting rooms in central London – just a few minutes walk from Oxford Street. Please see Contact page for directions & maps.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule and appointment?
As consulting rooms need to be booked and paid for in advance, 24 hours notice is required if a session needs to be cancelled, so that the appointment can be offered to another client. Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will be charged at half the hourly rate. Appointments that are not attended, without any prior notice, will be charged at the full rate.
Are the sessions confidential?
The content of appointments will be confidential, and your personal details and notes stored securely. In rare circumstances confidentiality might need to be breached - for example, where an individual is deemed to be at serious risk of harming themselves or someone else.
How do I pay?
All payments should be made within 24 hours of the session. Payment is via cash, cheque, bank transfer or Paypal (link to Paypal on this website). Charges may be applied for late payment of fees. 
Can I get my sessions funded through private health insurance
Jenny is a registered provider with most medical providers, including BUPA, AXA PPP, Cigna and Norwich Union.   

In some instances insurance companies will pay only a proportion of session fees, or for a limited number of sessions, depending on the policy. Where the medical insurance company fails to pay for any or all of the session fees clients will be liable for payment of the outstanding fee so please double check beforehand.
